Donnycarney Drug & Alcohol Service is a community-based organisation
providing support to people who experience problems due to their
substance use.
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity to an experienced
professional who is passionate, driven, and enthusiastic about
supporting people to make positive changes in their lives.
ADDICITON CASE WORKER FULL-TIME (REF: ACW-FT)
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:
* A third level qualification (Degree) in, Social Science, Addiction
Studies or other relevant discipline.
* A minimum of two years? experience in a community based
multi-disciplinary initiative and demonstrate an exceptional track
record
* A knowledge of evidence-based interventions
* An understanding of the current National Drug strategy (Reducing
harm, supporting recovery)
* Have excellent report writing and presentation skills
* Have experience of NDRIC assessment and development of Care Plans
* Have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
* Comprehensive knowledge of drug related issues and the impact they
have on individuals, families, and the wider communities
DESIRABLE:
* Full Clean Driving Licence
* Experience using ECASS CRM system/HEB link system
* Experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of Therapeutic
and Psychoeducational group initiatives.

This position will include scheduled day and evening work and on

Salary: The salary for this post is in line with HSE Social Care
Salary Scale (depending on experience).
